Senior Director of Manufacturing

The Director will oversee and direct the manufacturing operations of the division. Provide overall operational and strategic direction and guidance to the manufacturing activities of the division. Provide daily leadership and management to all manufacturing and operations functions. Develop Supply Chain Strategy and Lean initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the manufacturing operations of the division including; business profitability, production output and warehouse operation, production of quality product, implementation of manufacturing strategy, reduction of scrap rate, minimization of equipment downtime, EHS for facility, securing raw material suppliers, raw materials price negotiation, engineering and manufacturing cost.
- Oversee the operation of the manufacturing and warehouse operation. Ensure efficient operations with minimum equipment downtime and quality products. This includes Continuous Improvement processes, robust Predictive Maintenance programs and training programs.
- Provide engineering and technical support for the operations. Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts and other direct functions associated with inventory accuracy including the overview of master data.
- Ensure a safe, clean and secure working environment by establishing and enforcing procedures, rules and regulations. Initiate fixed capital requests. Monitor all production related safety and security systems and procedures on a regular basis.
- Oversee and direct all plant operations according to established company policy. Direct activities within the facility. Develop, direct and maintains supplier’s relationship and contractual agreements.
- Assign responsibilities, delegate authority, select, orient and train plant staff. Plan, monitor and appraise job results. Direct and maintain activities designed to achieve and maintain high employee morale.
- Establish and strive for continuous improvement through lean initiatives in production. Report production improvements and failures and recommend solutions. Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to strategy that track progress.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 10 years experience in manufacturing and Supply Chain (inventory management, warehouse, etc.) environment
- At least 5 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work
- Advance skill level in lean manufacturing, plant operations and engineering.
- Intermediate knowledge level of Six Sigma
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Window, Excel, and SAP.
