Vice President of Human Resources

Position Overview:
The Vice President of HR will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, and will be responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s business objectives and foster a high-performance culture. The VP of HR will lead a team of HR professionals and collaborate closely with department heads to attract, retain, and develop top talent, drive employee engagement, and ensure compliance with all HR policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives that support the company’s overall business objectives and promote a positive employee experience.
- Provide strategic HR leadership and counsel to the executive team and department heads, guiding decision-making on organizational design, talent management, and workforce planning.
- Talent Acquisition and Retention:
- Oversee talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and implement effective recruitment and selection processes.
- Employee Engagement and Development:
- Lead initiatives to foster a culture of employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion, promoting a positive work environment where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute.
- Implement programs and initiatives to support employee development, career growth, and succession planning, including training and development opportunities, performance management, and leadership development programs.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitive pay and benefits offerings that attract and retain top talent.
- Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation and benefits programs, making recommendations for enhancements as needed.
- HR Operations and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, and employee relations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality.
- Organizational Development and Change Management:
- Lead organizational development initiatives to support growth, change, and transformation, including organizational design, restructuring, and change management strategies.
- Partner with leaders to assess organizational effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to drive performance and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Proven track record of success in HR leadership roles, with a minimum of [X] years of experience in human resources management, preferably in the consumer goods or related industry.
